Standing with the Stairs

shirt from Janie & Jack...I couldn't resist, it IS my first mommies day tomorrow.
We have truly moved into the realm of the mobile stage of babydom. There once was a time where I could walk out of the room, leaving my little stink bug on his mat, happily playing IN ONE SPOT. I would go put my makeup on or make a quick lunch and when I would walk back into the room, there he would be in the same place. Unless he is napping, those days are officially gone. Let the real baby-proofing begin. His world is from my hips down and all my decor in that range is going bye-bye. It will probably help de-clutter my life at the same time, which is a good thing. Káel's world is opening up to him right before my eyes. He has discovered he can go in pretty much whatever room he wants, all by himself. Such a big boy.

I swear he wants to by-pass crawling and walk. He tries to stand more than crawl. He walks along the edge of our jacuzzi bathtub during bath-time, holding onto the side. Oh dear me. He's ready for adventure. Just wait until we get some baby gates, please Forest boy. One thing I can count on, I will definitely get to burn extra calories chasing and following him throughout the house, as he develops his navigating skills. Here are some pics of his new game, standing with the stairs. I love watching him do this, but it kinda scares me at the same time. I'm going baby gate shopping today. haha.

yeah, i meant to do that.

  6. Gawd he is SUPER CUTE! Such a big deal that he is able to pull himself up and be a bit mobile. Everything in our house is now at least 3 feet off the ground! LOL!
